Albert Mondor
Albert Mondor holds a diploma in Ornamental Horticulture and a Bachelor's Degree in Plant Biology. Horticulture is his passion; he has been a horticulturist/landscaper for 27 years.
Albert Mondor has written a weekly column for the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec since 1999, and he is a regular contributor to Canadian Gardening and Quatre-Temps. In March 2009, having published six other works with Éditions de l’Homme, he released a new book, Attirer la faune au jardin (Attracting Wildlife to Your Garden). He is also the originator and co-host of the Le Tour du Jardin (Around the Garden) television program broadcast on the Historia channel since early 2011.
A designer of many public and private gardens, Albert Mondor has received several distinctions for his landscape arrangements, including the famous Louis Perron prize. Some of his more recent creations include:
Known for his professionalism and discipline, Albert Mondor is a consultant to various boards and committees. Among his many commitments, he is a member of the Ordre national de Romarin and sits on the selection committee for the Montreal Botanical Garden’s Horticultural Merit and the selection committee for the Exceptionnelles du Jardin Daniel A. Séguin of Saint-Hyacinthe.
